Core values are the fundamental guidelines by which Orange Hill Baptist Church does ministry. They are basic ideals to which we aspire and by which we measure everything we do. Core values are interrelated, which means that one core value may rely on the truth of another core value. We desire to adopt these core values in our personal lives as the church has adopted them as a congregation. Most importantly, we acknowledge the sovereignty of God, the Person and work of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit as the foundation for the ministry of Orange Hill Baptist Church.

We value bold, Spirit-anointed teaching and preaching that exalts God, corrects and rebukes us and encourages us to apply the truths of The Word in all areas of our lives.

(Matthew 10:27, Acts 17:2-3 & 20:27, II Timothy 2:15 & 4:2)

We value the authority of Scripture, God's inspired, infallible Word, and seek to permeate all value statements, ministries and activities with sound Biblical truth.

(Acts 17:11; I Tim. 3:15; II Tim. 3:16)

We value total, unyielding reliance on God through prayer in intercession for those in need, in our personal lives and in the conception, planning and execution of all church-related endeavors.

(Jeremiah 33:3, I Thessalonians 5:17, I Timothy 2:1-8, James 5:16)

We value the magnification of God through Spirit-filled, truthful praise and worship.

(Psalm 150, Luke 4:8, John 4:23-24)

We value submission to the Holy Spirit’s transformation of our thoughts, attitudes, speech and behavior, and obedience to God in receiving discipline and reflecting Christ-like character in our personal lives and as a church body.

(Romans 12:1-2, Ephesians 5:1-2, II Corinthians 7:1, Hebrews 12:7-13)

We value the oneness that God creates from our shared relationship with Jesus Christ, a bond that is cultivated as we speak the truth in love, teach and admonish one another and dwell in a like-minded spirit of humility, kindness, patience, compassion, forgiveness and peace.

(Ephesians 4:1-6 & 4:15-16, Philippians 2:1-4, Colossians 3:12-17)

We value meeting the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of others and reaching the lost with The Gospel of Jesus Christ.

(Matthew 5:14-16 & 25:35-40, John 17:18)

We value personal communion with God as well as the purposeful, inclusive emphasis on small groups that foster care giving, loving accountability, strong relationships and mutual growth in Jesus Christ.

(John 15:17, Acts 2:42-47, Hebrews 10:24-25)

We value diligence in saturating each believer in The Word and encouraging, loving and nurturing them toward knowledge, wisdom and spiritual maturity.

(Matthew 28:19, John 8:31-32, Ephesians 4:11-14, II Timothy 2:1-2)

We value the grateful acknowledgement of God’s grace and mercy through the consistent, joyful offering of our money, time, talents and spiritual gifts.

(Malachi 3:10, Matthew 6:20-21, Luke 6:38, II Corinthians 9:6-8)

We value multiplicity within our church body, realizing that God uses all whom He calls, people of every race, nationality, gender, age, education, giftedness and social and economic status, to further His kingdom and glorify Himself.

(I Corinthians 12:4-6, Romans 15:7, Galatians 3:28)
