Colors, a Canvas, and God’s Kaleidoscopic Wisdom

Ephesians 3:1–10

 

There’s nothing surprising at all, to the world or to angels, about a very narrow spectrum of folks getting together for worship and fellowship because they all like the same kind of music, and the same kind of clothes, and they’re comfortable with each other socially, or all have the same basic interests and preferences. Nothing special about it! That looks to the world, and probably to the angels, suspiciously like a religious version of the golf club. Oh, but when all kinds of folks come together across the great divides of generation, race, class, education, personal preference, and all that stuff to worship and serve Christ together, that’s when the angels gasp! And even the world has to sit up and take notice. Why? Because only God can do such a thing!
